Behind The Carriage is Mike, a man with a vision and a love for the great outdoors. Owner of Whitwell Station and everything that comes with it, Mike has built something truly special within these grounds. When he's not overseeing his ventures, you'll likely find him out on the rails, and it's that same adventurous spirit and passion for authentic experiences that inspired The Carriage. Mike's commitment to creating something unique and welcoming is the foundation on which everything here is built.

Sam's passion for food began long before he ever ran a kitchen. Spending six formative years at Whitwell Station Restaurant, he immersed himself in the craft, learning the rhythms of a professional kitchen, refining his technique, and developing a cooking philosophy rooted in quality and consistency. His dedication didn't go unnoticed. Sam earned his promotion to Head Chef at Whitwell, where he has since continued to lead the kitchen with confidence and creativity. At The Carriage, Sam brings that same creativity, passion and class to every plate, blending classic foundations with a fresh, modern touch that keeps guests coming back time and time again.
Jody / Social Media & Manager / 21
Jody's background started in social media management for HYMO Setups, he brings a sharp creative eye and a deep understanding of building an online presence that connects with real people. As General Manager of The Carriage, Jody is the engine behind the scenes, conceptualising and coordinating events, managing the day-to-day operations of the venue, and ensuring that every guest experience runs seamlessly from start to finish. Whether he's planning a private vinyl event or keeping The Carriage's social channels buzzing, Jody's energy and attention to detail are felt in every corner of the business.
